The notebook, a charming relic of early Western Americana a nd Tort law that offers an insight to both the institution of jurisprudence at the time and into the mind of young litigator. [The year being 1885 indicates this book is from the beginnings of his career. There are nearly 300 handwritten pages in a large 10 x 8 inch book of his various notes and thoughts on legal cases.
