Jennings Tofel This 1929 oil on canvas people scene entitled Women with Nude is by Polish-born New York Expressionist Jennings Tofel (1891-1959). Tofel was a friend of Georgia O'Ke efe and Alfred Stieglitz. He received an art grant to work in Paris in the 1920s. His work is in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Tofel is known for his allegorical, Expressionist figurative scenes. 1929 Oil on Canvas 37"x31" framed, 32"x25" unframed Signed lower left.
