Producer Matt Harrop has been quietly working away, honing his craft for the last two decades, so it's safe to say he knows what he's doing. So far, his resume includes stints at Rothbury, Grosset, Brokenwood, and Shadowfax, and currently, he is the head winemaker at Curly Flat Winery in the Macedon Ranges. In 2007, along with his family, Matt bought a block of land to start his vineyard from scratch and produce his wine under the 'Silent Way' label, named after one of his favourite albums by Miles Davis. He currently makes Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and a Shiraz Malbec blend under his label. Chardonnay / Pinot Noir has a reputation among wine industry folk for being one of the best value wines in their category. Tasting Note "Very meaty with black olive tapenade, cold smoke, lots of fruit underneath and coming forth strong and flavoursome. Good drink." The Wine Front, Kasia Sobiesiak 92pts
