Instrument Voltage Stabiliser - a thermal bimetallic unit mounted on the back of the instrument cluster that regulates the supply voltage to the fuel level and coolant temperature gauges. The stabiliser outputs a pulsed mean voltage of approximately 10V regardless of battery state, ensuring consistent and accurate gauge readings.
