The historical collection contains six post age stamps issued from 1956 to 1985. The mint condition non-cancelled stamps honor the theme of education beginning with the 1956 Booker T. Washington stamp. Washington was the founder of the prestigious Tuskegee Institute and an African American educator. The set also includes a 1957, 3-cent stamp honoring the teachers of America.
