Includes three monographs: Rembrant's Etchings by P. G. Hamerton; Malta and the Knights Hospitallers by W. K. R. Bedford; Josiah Wedgwood, Master-Potter by A. H. Church. The Portfo lio was a monthly art journal established in 1870, edited by Philip Gilbert Hamerton. Monographs were accompanied by original prints, prepared by eminent artists of the day. Eminent dealer Frederick Rathbone called Church's article on Wedgwood the best Wedgwood article evern written.
