Wilcox's drawings are superb and his analysis of this important period for the English navy is very perceptive. The book is particularly interesting for the period after Pepys ceas es to write his Diary and Wilcox documents his important contribution to the rebuilding of the Navy after he left imprisonment in the Tower.
