Producer The Harvey family has been proudly growing grapes for six generations. Chalk Hill was established in 1964. Jock and Tom Harvey, the current custodians of Chalk Hill, have expanded the family's vineyard holdings to six locations across the McLaren Vale region. They now offer a broad range of wines, specialising in Shiraz, Grenache, and Chardonnay. Tasting Note Chalk Hill Chardonnay from the 2022 vintage in McLaren Vale is elegant and refined. It offers zesty lemon and white nectarine aromas, along with a hint of minerality and a struck match. The oak is noticeable but well-integrated. The wine has a refreshing acidity that balances the richer fruit flavours of peach and nectarine. Although it leans towards the lighter side of Chardonnays, it still has a lovely texture, a broad flavour profile, and beautiful balance.
