Collects a large number of historical newspaper articles relating to Oundle, and to Petersborough which lies to the northeast. Includes facsimiles of original documents, photographs, a chronological table of important 18th and century events, and John Morton's description of Oundle, written in 1712. Oundle is notable as one of the few towns in England unaffected by the Black Death in the mid-14th century, despite the devastation of surrounding areas.
