Join us on the evening of Saturday, April 12th for a special dinner at our gardens to celebrate 15 years of Special Growers. Check-in starts at 6:00 PM with dinner beginning at 6:3 0 PM. We have assembled a 4-chef team for the evening to mark this milestone. Chefs for the Evening Jeff Carter (Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro) Matt Gallaher (Emilia & Paysan Bread and Bagels) Alex Gass (Fire & Salt) Chris Thompson (Amici, Amico Townsend, & Maryville Munch Box) 15 years ago, a group of parents of young adults with disabilities launched Special Growers to provide a work opportunity for their children after high school. With the support of many community partners and individuals, a safe and inclusive work environment has been developed for our staff to learn job skills, gain confidence, and prepare for their future careers.
