Camphor Cinnamomum camphora Product Details Camphor essential oil comes from the wood of the camphor laurel and is native to Borneo & Taiwan. Camphor is also the official tree of Hiroshima, Japan. Camphor is most notably used in over the counter salves and chest rubs. These products are usually petroleum based and are chemically manufactured from turpentine oil.
