Updated June 27: Only one left. I don't know whether we're going to do another printing, so if you're interested in this original design, you'll want to place your order now. In response to a question about the printing of the image, we used photos of original Centennial flags and included the many signs of age in those original flags. The color is faded and not uniform, there was some bleeding of the red on to the white, the lines weren’t perfectly straight, and there were some other signs of wear. (See the photos for examples of some of these.) We left all of those in to give it the character and gravitas of a historic flag. — Lee Wright | Founder Based on a historic flag created for the 1876 Centennial, five-pointed, rayed stars are arranged to read “1776” and “2026.” The flag’s design is completed with thirteen alternating red and white stripes. This flag is printed on a high quality nylon flag designed for both indoor and outdoor use. It is made of two pieces of flag nylon and they are sewn back to back. The flag: Made in America High quality printing Size: 12" x 18" Also available: 1776 - 2026 Historic American Flag in its original size Caring for your flag: When flown outside, over time, all flags fade and fray. To prolong the life of your flag, bring it in in high winds and bad weather. To reduce the chance of fading, you can apply a UV protectant, such as 303. To clean, the manufacturer recommends spot cleaning with a 50/50 solution of water and white vinegar. They do not recommend putting it in the washing machine or submerging the flag entirely in water. Historical background: Jeff Bridgman has an excellent explanation of the "1776 - 1876" flag on which our design is based.
