This PDF digital pattern is for a set of stays that are appropriate for wear for representing 1780's fashion. These are drafted taking examples from extant corsetry of the period. These stays have been drafted with a front and back opening making it easier for self dressing, but should you prefer a closed front, then it is a simple modification to sew up the centre front opening during the making up process. Slips and Stays patterns are drafted in house and are based on historical record and extant garments, fitted to a modern body shape and modern sizing charts.
