Edited with an Introduction by David Hughes. A work of fiction that nonetheless included plenty of juicy gossip about the court of Charles II and other characters of the latter hal f of the 17th century. Never meant to be published, it became a sensation when it was released in 1713. This copy has condition issues, with a private library stamp affixed in a few places, and some discoloration of the cloth cover.
