Why This Watch Matters Because who doesn’t love a good Breitling Top Time? The Full Story The Breitling Top Time is one of the more versatile and elegant chronographs ever produced by the maker. This reference 2000 features a pink-gold-plated case with characteristic push-down chronograph buttons. The black dial offers the reverse panda configuration with two silvered registers, and a bright orange chronograph hand consistent with the broad indexes. This example is a perfect mix of dressy and sporty, and looks great on the wrist. The plating is still intact and has minimal wear. The only place that shows signs of age is the crown, where the gold plating is worn down completely, revealing some of the base. There are some light scratches on the outside of the case, particularly on the outside of the lugs. The dial is in impeccable condition with a full set of lume plots and no signs of aging. The only flaw is on the chronograph hand, which is slightly chipped in the middle. Overall, this is a great vintage Breitling chronograph.
