The Full Story There has been a growing interest in Gallet chronographs in the last few years, and we have a beautiful example for you this week. The piece you see here, a MultiChron 12HR, is connected with the Formula 1 driver Jim Clark, who must have greatly appreciated the legible scales on the matte-black dial. Furthermore, the numerals and hands are lumed for nighttime legibility. The 37.5 mm case wears well on the wrist, particularly with a proportionately appropriate height to ensure that the watch doesn’t distract from you racing around the track (or the office). It’s no wonder Gallet produced this very chronograph for 20 consecutive years. The matte-black dial is very clean, except for some fading below six o'clock; the first “T” in "T SWISS T" has almost disappeared. The lumed numerals are intact, with a darker patina than the handset. Finally, the chronograph movement, the caliber Valjoux 72, works flawlessly.
