Recent Restoration of an Iconic brand famously used by movie stars on the French Riviera and now widely collected by discerning boaters. Purchased in Monte Carlo in 1969 by an American Socialite Patricia O'Connell Kane Matisse Nikolina was used at her estate in New York. Her second marriage was to Pierre Matisse son of the famous modern artist Henri Matisse. On her death in 2001 it became part of the Estate and sat unused for years. Noted for their craftsmanship, quality materials and attention to detail. Rivas have elegant lines and this Olympic definitely exudes those in spades. The Olympic model replaced the very successful Super Florida model (made from the mid 1950's to 1967) in 1968 with a similar hull but more stylized deck. It was the last wood model totally designed by Riva and 274 were built up to 1975 and proved to be a very capable hull design. This is one of the earlier hulls - #25. Totally restored to near original condition by Bob Robertson including a new keel and bottom, refreshed hull sides and decks. He also had all the chrome hardware re-done, the VDO gauges restored, all new marine grade wiring with updated safety specs, replaced the upholstery with the later models dark Blue & White vinyl in place of the original Turquoise and Cream. The engine is the original Riva/Crusader 327 ci 220 hp engine that has been totally rebuilt along with the Velvet Drive transmission. Comes with a new custom built tandem axle trailer in very good condition.
