1970s Sutcliffe Clockwork Model Sea Wolf Atomic Submarine This wonderful looking, boxed, vintage yellow submarine child's toy is a Clockwork Sutcliffe Model Sea Wolf Atomic Submarine. Made by Sutcliffe Pressings Ltd, Horsforth, Leeds, UK, a toy company which sadly closed in 1984. It is being sold as a vintage collectible and is not suitable for children. This tinplate model has a yellow finish with propeller, rudder and red plastic conning towers & missile launcher. There is a black rubber bung to cover the keyhole. There is a Sea Wolf decal on one side and the keel is pressed with 'Sutcliffe Made In England.' In very good to excellent cosmetic condition, with a few tiny paint chips/surface scuffs, the submarine has been tested and is working. One of the conning towers looks slightly off centre and may have had a repair at some stage. It comes with its original box and key. The box is in fair-good condition with some external and internal discolouration, and small scuffs/tears.
