We love this pedal. While we're not fans of "hype" that comes associated with some things, this pedal lives up to its reputation. Designed by Matt Hoopes and Jon Ashley of Bondi Ef fects, the DRV is a RAT-inspired distortion pedal featuring one distortion circuit and one preamp boost circuit packed into a sleek folded steel enclosure. Sounding more like a vintage pedal than a unique modification of a classic, the DRV is warm and responsive, capable of a variety of textures—especially in its lower gain section.
