This Aria is a rockin' good time! Another great Matsumoku-made bass, this example from the Aria Pro II 'Cardinal' series dates to 1982. Composed of an ash body with maple neck and rosewood fretboard, these examples are stripped back and straight to the point, featuring a single pickup and master volume/tone control. Finished in a translucent cherry, this example shows some nice grain. The sound is super direct and in your face, with plenty of punch and attack. A fun model perfect for the no-nonsense bassist! Cosmetic condition is good for its age, showing light wear in the form of scratches and dings throughout. There are a couple of more noticeable chips to the front lower bout of the body, as well as a bit of finish that has separated on the back by the lower horn. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a medium action. Includes a brown leather gig bag.
