This 1975 Guild D25 is a superb example of the classic Guild dreadnought, with the distinctive pressed and arched back design that gives these guitars their strong, balanced sound and unmistakable character. Built at Guild’s long running Westerly, Rhode Island factory, the D25 features a solid spruce top paired with mahogany sides and the pressed mahogany back associated with these models. The result is a full, warm sound with plenty of projection and a dry, woody tonal character, while the comfortable neck profile makes for an easy playing experience. This guitar was originally built as a right handed instrument but has been professionally converted for left handed playing, with a recut saddle and an added pickguard. The bridge has also been reglued at some point in its life, but otherwise the guitar is in good condition with only minimal signs of play wear for its age.
