But it might be a lesser known fact that Tudor, Rolex’s sister brand, has been producing their own Submariner since 1954. This example features the Mercedes handset with gorgeous patina. The caseback shows some signs of wear but nothing major. This example of the 79090 features an earlier caseback stamped with the reference 76100. However, much like with the Rolex 5513/5512, this is not unusual for Tudor, and it was likely that the caseback was leftover from an earlier batch. The only thing to note is the missing lume plot in the rotating bezel. The dial is really gorgeous with fantastic patina.
