Deep golden-amber in the glass. The nose opens to a lavish tapestry of honeycomb, marmalade, dried apricot, candied citrus peel, and subdued pineapple drizzle, with hints of beeswa x and toffee lurking in the background. On the palate the wine is luxuriously sweet but graciously held together by softened acidity. Layers of preserved apricot and lemon-zest, with touches of caramel and candied peel, glide through a silky mid-palate into a long, honey-edged finish. There is an elegant maturity here, the youthful brightness has given way to depth and resonance, while retaining enough freshness to stay vibrant rather than tired. Show more
