Tudors long history of iconic chronographs continues into the late nineties with the "Tiger Chronographs." In 1998 Tiger Woods became the face of Tudor Watches, hence the name "TIGER" underneath the minute register at the 12 o'clock position. During this time period, Tudor was entering into a new era as a stand-alone watch company. Tudor's separation from Rolex becomes more evident as the crown, case, and bracelet are all signed Tudor and the dial doesn't feature the text "Oyster." This is an excellent transitional timepiece, that would make a great start to a collection or be a resilient daily driver. Featuring locking pushers and a sapphire crystal that make the watch more durable and water resistant. All while retaining its original tritium lume, bridging the gap between modern and vintage horology. The stainless steel UPH bezel remains in overall excellent vintage condition showing no enamel loss and some wear from use. The Tudor signed trip-lock crown and screw down pushers all remain original to the watch. The Tudor 78400 oyster bracelet with 605 end pieces is in excellent unpolished condition showing light wear and little to no stretch, retaining 13 links. DIAL & HANDS The vibrant blue sunburst "Tiger" dial is in flawless condition. The white Arabic numerals are highly visible against the blue dial. The original tritium lume plots show no lume degradation under U.V. light inspection. The original tritium minute and hour hands match the dial perfectly, showing no lume loss or degradation under U.V. light inspection. The all red sweep-seconds chronograph hand creates excellent color contrast with the dial. ACCESSORIES None. Watch is keeping time perfectly, further service history is unknown.
