Antique late 1800s Mariner's Compass hand-stitched quilt with bright & vibrant Turkey red bars, wonderful use of black and blue calico fabric, very soft handfeel & lots of hand sew n detail. Midweight. Size: 67 x 86Condition: fair, the body of the quilt is excellent, the binding is not and it needs new binding. A little bit of fading on the red bars in a couple of areas. This antique quilt has been hand-washed and hung in the air to dry. It is always recommended to soak quilts to wash and lay or hang in the sun to dry.
