A heart-breaker? Why? This antique mid-1800s hand-stitched quilt was kept between two mattresses for it's lifetime, it being too precious to use, I assume. A thicker, warmer quilt made of lots of turkey red and calicos in blue, pink and black/white. The back is an olive green flannel. Rare for it's extensive and unadulterated turkey red, almost modern-like pattern and overall condition. Found in Tennessee. Size: 78 x 62Condition: excellent This antique quilt has been hand-washed and hung in the air to dry. It is always recommended to soak quilts to wash and lay or hang in the sun to dry.
