Over the years drop bracket type lifts have received a bad name due to a ton of drivability issue and even damaging the frame in some scenarios. That is why we don't recommend these for all builds! Laser cut and formed from 3/16 steel, these brackets are over built with internal and external gussets that attach to the frame and crossmember with Grade 8 hardware. More details below. Vehicles that these brackets will fit: 83 - 96 Ford Bronco 83 - 96 Ford F150 2WD & 4WD 80-97 Ford F250/350 2WD ONLY Note: These brackets DO NOT fit any year Superduty chassis These brackets DO NOT fit any year Excursion chassis These brackets can be used for a lot of different reasons, for example: 2" lift with out having to max out an alignment cam (which puts extra stress on ball joints) Making one of our 4" lifts into a 6" lift could be done using these brackets and a few other needed components. Making a custom hybrid height lift (like 3") WE WANT TO EXPLAIN THESE BRACKETS ARE NOT NEEDED FOR MOST BUILDS! Do we recommend these for Long travel applications ? NO. If you already have a nice Bronco that drives good and aligns properly, will purchasing these make it any better? NO.
