“1.0” is a part of an ongoing series of work exploring the tension between human impact and the natural systems it affects. In the piece, a pure white dove is captured in suspended motion, soaring above our gaze within a vibrant skyline. Its path quickly becomes interrupted by the force of human technology; a literal impact in this composition through laser engraving, suspending the bird within its reach. The conclusion of its fate then lies within the gaze of the viewer in a liminal space between life and death. Show more
