The spring-calibrated tampers in this catalog (Flash 2.0, Black Edition V3, Click-Sound, Transparent Tamper, White Set) use a spring mechanism that delivers a fixed force (typically 30 lb) regardless of how hard you press — the spring engages at the calibrated weight and prevents additional force from transferring to the puck. If you want pressure consistency without developing tamping technique, the spring-calibrated tampers are the choice.
