Rahr 2-Row Malt is a premium American base malt used to produce clean, balanced beers with pale color, mild sweetness, and dependable fermentation performance. Its smooth, grainy flavor provides a neutral backbone suitable for ales and lagers, supporting both hop-driven recipes and malt-forward styles. With strong enzymatic power and consistent extract potential, it forms a reliable foundation for a wide range of homebrewed and professional beer formulations. The malt offers practical advantages for brewers seeking clarity, efficiency, and predictable conversion. Its mild flavor contribution allows hops to stand out in pale ales and IPAs, while its clean sweetness supports darker styles such as porters and stouts. The carefully developed kernel structure enhances mash efficiency, making it useful in both all-grain and partial mash brewing systems. Its balanced profile ensures smooth fermentation and a clean finish across traditional and modern beer styles. Rahr 2-Row Malt is produced from high-quality American barley selected for uniformity and stable extraction. Its pale color and neutral character make it suitable as a standalone base malt or as a component blended with specialty grains for additional color and flavor. The malt’s performance remains consistent in single-infusion mash schedules and more complex mash programs, giving brewers flexibility regardless of their brewing setup. To use this malt, incorporate it as up to the full grain bill for straightforward ales or blend it with crystal, roasted, or flavor malts to achieve the desired profile. It performs reliably at standard mash temperatures and supports clean fermentations that highlight balance and drinkability. Its enzymatic strength ensures efficient conversion even in recipes containing adjuncts or specialty additions. Designed for versatility and consistent results, Rahr 2-Row Malt provides strong enzymatic activity, neutral flavor, and dependable extraction. Its balanced composition makes it a trusted choice for brewers crafting everything from light lagers to robust ales.
