Ottawa’s original party animals are back with their second full length LP; Junkfood Forever, Bedtime Whatever! The band has been said to sound like “Mean Jeans partying with the Bl ack Lips,” and that description continues to be pretty spot on. However, this time around, in addition to the revved up; surf tinged; catchy as hell garage rock, the band experiments with country (“Sweet Donna”), riffy space rock (“Cool Aid”), and indie pop (“No Fun”). But don’t mistake that experimentation for the band beginning to take themselves too seriously.
