This is the one fitment detail that matters on a Type 42, and it isn't obvious from the year: 4.2L V8, 5.2L V10 cars with factory amber turn signals are supported — the required decoder is included. 4.2L V8, 5.2L V10 cars with factory red turn signals are NOT supported. The startup animation and sequential sweep will not run correctly on that wiring, so these are the wrong lights for that car. Audi changed the factory lighting interface partway through production, which is why early LED and later dynamic turn-signal cars behave differently.
