There’s a few well loved Italian varieties on our vineyard; Nebbiolo is definitely one of them and it’s well suited to the King Valley. We first planted Nebbiolo in the late 90s an d made our first vintage in ‘03. We love seeing the bigger more tannic styles that develop well with age - this is a great example! The nose has notes of rose, cranberry and a little aged leather giving way to a beautifully developed and savoury palate showing subtle black tea. The tannins have softened nicely with age but still have great length and benefit from a great food pairing. Love doing this with rich stews - think traditional French cassoulet. Show more
