Rover is a brand of quality student banjos imported by Saga Musical Instruments. The "Front Porch Series" included the open-back RB-110 and resonator RB-115, and these featured woo d rims and were the top of the Rover line. Unfortunately, they have been discontinued, so now they're only available used. Constructed with all the right traditional features, they're great banjos for beginners at a reasonable price. This Rover RB-115 was made in 2013, and it is in excellent condition with some expected playwear but no repairs or issues. This banjo is set up properly, which is definitely the most important thing. Unlike other instruments, setup is everything with the banjo, so when it's set up right (neck angle is good, head is tensioned, playability optimized, etc.), it will sound pretty good, too. The wood resonator definitely gives it more of a bluegrass sound, and it provides the volume and cut needed to drive a string band.
