Full-bodied in both tone and stature, the aptly-titled "Jumbo King” is the largest body size in the Waterloo line. It is a modern-day tribute to jumbo-sized guitars of the early 1940s. Originally manufactured by Regal for the mail-order Montgomery Ward catalog, this slope-shoulder body size was designed to provide performers of the era with enough volume and power for professional radio work. The WL-JK accomplishes this and more by employing a full five-inch body depth and a slightly narrow waist to enhance both the bass and treble response while delivering powerful mid-range. This 2015 Waterlook WL-JK packs a sincere punch. Its tone is big and throaty, and it jumps across the room. It features a Sitka Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides. It has a 1-3/4" nut width, and its Moderate "V" neck profile provides prewar charm. While it is certainly a big guitar, its lightweight feel keeps it comfortable in your lap. This 2015 Waterloo WL-JK shows some playwear as well as some minor bumps and bruises (see photos), but it remains in excellent condition all-around with an inviting, playable setup. The previous owner installed a K&K Pure Mini pickup and a strap button on the neck heel, but it is otherwise free of modifications or repairs. Its original hardshell case is included, and the case is every bit as clean as the guitar.
