A short-lived and now discontinued model, the Taylor 410e-R blends the classic dreadnought body style with the equally classic tonewood pairing of rosewood and spruce. The 410e-R is the perfect fit for players who want a quintessential acoustic workhorse guitar, especially flat-pickers and/or strummers who want powerful output, strong low-end growl, and clear trebles. Taylor has always been known for easy playing guitars, and the Taylor 410e-R has a comfortable neck carve that makes chord progressions and lead runs a breeze all the way up the neck. Plus, it has a modern 1-11'16" nut width, and that tighter string spacing makes barre chords less of a stretch. When you plug it in, the Taylor Expression System 2 only adds to the 410e-R's all-around versatility. It starts with Taylor's unique behind-the-saddle pickup, which positions three individually calibrated pickup sensors behind the saddle instead of underneath it. Because of that, the bottom of the saddle still retains full contact with the bridge, allowing all the nuances of the guitar's tone to come through clearly whether playing acoustically or plugged-in. On stage through a PA, plugged into your favorite acoustic amplifier, or direct into recording software, the ES2 faithfully conveys the natural voice of the 410e-R. This 2016 Taylor 410e-R is gently used, and it doesn't appear to have spent much time out of the case. There is one top ding worth noting (see photos), and there is also a bump on the bass edge of the headstock (probably a result of sloppy restringing). Otherwise, it is nice and clean cosmetically, and it has no history or repairs, modifications, or issues. This Taylor dreadnought sounds fantastic, and it plays like it should. This 410e-R would be an excellent workhouse guitar, but it's also a great value for any player looking for that made-in-usa, solid-wood next step acoustic guitar. Original hardshell case included!
