95 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: The 2017 Vintage Port is a 40/35 blend of Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional with 15% Sousão, plus miscellaneous others, unoaked and coming in with 103 grams of residual sugar. When seen before, this was very good but too tight. It is still too tight, but it has become far more expressive. The aromatics in particular are exceptional now, throwing off some violets and herbs. It's delicious too. It adds sensual texture. The more I taste this, the more I have to say that I grievously underestimated it early on. Mea culpa. It seems increasingly brilliant. It also seems likely to improve much more. It shows old-school power and has plenty of room to improve. 95 Points - Wine Enthusiast: Packed with ripe black fruits, the wine also has freshness and great acidity. Behind all this are immense tannins, rich fruit and a solid potential. This is going to be a sweeter style, ripe with concentrated luscious black fruits. Drink from 2028.
