The 2018 BLACK “Barrel Fermented” Chardonnay sources fruit from the Wandoo Vineyard near Orange NSW. Winemaker Robert Black, fermented the juice using light solids and natural yeas t to create palate texture and build fruit concentration. The oak used were 225L new French Oak tight grain Barriques (50%) and 1yo (50%). Supplied by Tonnelleries Damy and Tremeaux, the oak is well suited to cool climate Chardonnay.
