Bin 70 was a limited release bottling to celebrate winemaker and viticulturist Rob Gibson’s 70th Birthday in 2021. A barrel selection of classic fine Shiraz which will stand the test of time, Bin 70 is an amalgam of Eden Valley (60%) and Barossa Valley (40%) fruit, from a clay loams and light granitic podzols. Single wire rod & spur trellis, which yielded 1.5 tonne per acre. Dark red purple in colour, Bin 70 Shiraz boasts subtle complex aromas of vanilla bean, cinnamon and ripe red berries. The palate is beautiful with a charm and finesse rarely seen in Australia. It's lively, bright & not overstated, with bright red fruit (pomegranate) coming over just slightly sweet but perfectly balanced with citrus acidity. Some complex flavours are just starting to emerge. It departs gracefully leaving enticing savoury vinous notes lingering. Bottles produced: 2,000
