How it tastes Ripe dark fruit, liquorice, mineral and spice with roasted notes from the oak, echoed on a smooth palate with fine-grained tannins. Vinified purely by gravity, withou t pumps. The producer Resalte is a boutique house established in 2000 in Peñafiel, at the centre of Ribera del Duero, working eighty hectares of Tempranillo with an average vine age of forty years. Considerable wine for the money. Food and drinking Good with red meat, lamb, game and cheese. Drinking well now, with a decade or more ahead of it. Serve at 17–18°C. Show more
