How it tastes Ripe red fruit and violet with vanilla, tobacco and a touch of chocolate — structured, full-bodied and aromatic. Hand-picked at dawn in April at full phenolic maturit y. The producer Andeluna farm seventy hectares at 1,300 metres in the rocky Gualtallary terroir of Tupungato, founded in 2003. The altitude is the whole point: the diurnal swing is what keeps a wine this concentrated from feeling heavy. Food and drinking Good with red meat and game.
