Daniela De Pablo and Pablo Pedreros produce this distinctive orange wine from 100% Moscatel de Alejandría in Chile's Secano Interior, Itata Valley. The grapes come from own-rooted bush vines over 30 years old, planted on clay-granite soils rich with quartz at 300 meters altitude. Grapes are hand-harvested and destemmed, then fermented outside under an oak tree in open-top fiberglass tanks with 12 days of skin maceration. The wine is aged in 6-year-old American oak barrels in an adobe cellar for 11 months on its lees, with a thin layer of flor developing to add oxidative complexity. Bottled without fining or filtering. Total production: 4,000 bottles with 1 ppm total sulfur. Show more
