How it tastes Plush and generous, with ripe plum, black pepper, tapenade and a savoury umami note. Syrah 75%, Grenache 25%. The producer The Syrah and Grenache blocks run north-sou th at around 270 metres on the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge. Jean-Claude Martin and Carolyn Martin found this cool-climate site in 2002 and have spent two decades proving what Walker Bay can do. Food and drinking Good with red meat, spicy dishes and cheese.
