Cissac sits on a small gravel plateau just 5kms or so from Mouton, Lafite and Cos d'Estournel. The 2022 wine, with its high extract (IPT) score of 94, is made up of 50% Cabernet sa uvignon, 43% merlot and the balance malbec and petit verdot, all aged in 25% new oak. The vines are mature (34yo average) and as you would expect from the location and the perfect vintage, this is a wine that can be cellared for almost as long as you would want. Cissac however, is always a fleshy and well-balanced red that can be served youngish with rich and hearty fare. Show more
