VINTAGE 2023The 2023 Vintage will go down as one of the latest starts at Turkey Flat in over a decade. This thanks to a wet winter, which lead into a cool, wet spring. These conditions pushed budburst out almost four weeks, with progress further slowed by the cooler and wetter weather conditions extending into December. However, what followed was a long, slow ripening period through summer producing wines of higher natural acidity with perfumed aromatics and intense flavours. TASTING NOTESA beautifully expressive and youthful wine, full of rich layers and inherited spice thanks to the cooler vintage conditions. The nose is fresh and alive with bramble fruits of boysenberry and blackberry, intertwined seamlessly with choc mocha, dried herbs and leather spice. More medium bodied on the palate, the rich depth of flavour and oak toastiness is supported by fine framed tannins, a fresh acid backbone and savory finish. Drinking wonderfully now, the wine will also continue to evolve for many years to come.
