The scenic motif — evo king mountains, water, and nature — is a classic of Japanese ceramic art. Imari ware, also known as Imari porcelain, is a type of Japanese porcelain produced in the town of Arita, located in Saga Prefecture on Kyushu Island. This piece is crafted by the Hirouemon Kiln, a father-and-son studio continuing the pottery tradition in Okawachiyama, Saga Prefecture — the historic site of the Nabeshima domain kiln. In addition to traditional Nabeshima-style ware, they also create contemporary pieces that bring this centuries-old craft into modern life.
