A unique blend of High Country Victorian Malbec and Uco Valley Mendoza Malbec, produced by winemakers Chris Catlow in Beechworth, in collaboration with Ezequiel Fadel from Bodega La Azul in Mendoza, Argentina. Inspired by the friendly banter between two wine-loving nations. This unique blend captures the best of both worlds. Australian fruit contributes freshness, structure and vibrant red fruit, while Argentine Malbec adds richness, dark fruit and unmistakable depth. Following the blend, the wine was aged in our own Slovenian oak foudres, allowing it to develop complexity and texture while preserving the purity of the fruit. Bright aromas of blackberry, plum and violet lead into a palate layered with black cherry, dark berries and subtle spice. Silky tannins and vibrant natural acidity are complemented by the gentle influence of large-format Slovenian oak, giving the wine exceptional balance, texture and a long, elegant finish.
