NEW RELEASE! This Chardonnay was picked on the 25th of January, and pressed into stainless steel tanks before being transferred to a 600L neutral egg shaped vessel and two 3 year o ld French Oak hogsheads for fermentation and maturation for 10 months. This 50:50 storage allowed for a more fruit dominant chardonnay with less oak contact. Tasting Notes: Inspired by the unoaked chardonnays of South Africa, this wine exhibits typical flavours of peach and white stonefruits, and a salty mineral edge. A full mouthfeel with a soft acid palate, this is due to batonnage (lees stirring in barrel) every 2 weeks. A wine to be enjoyed young. 13.5% Alc. Show more
