Our first ever vintage of estate grown Pinot Noir! The 2025 growing season was smooth and dry in comparison to the previous few years of wetter and cooler conditions. Plentiful water resources and no heat wave periods helped the wines express great natural acid and strong primary fruit characteristics. Pinot that leans into its prettiness but doesn’t forget where it came from. The aromatics are led by wild strawberries—bright, lifted, a little windswept—before a gentle earthy edge creeps in, all wet leaves and forest wanderings. Red fruits take the front seat, with violets fluttering in the background and a dusting of savoury spice adding intrigue. There’s just a hint of plum here too, plus a touch of cedar that keeps things neatly framed. On the palate it’s all crunch and clarity—fresh, vivid fruit with a real sense of energy. There’s a forest floor nuance threading through the core, keeping the brightness in check, before it tapers into something more savoury and faintly ferrous on the finish. Texture is where it quietly flexes: slippery and svelte, but pulled tight by a fine line of acidity. The tannins have a gentle sweetness to them, lending a juicy, almost glossy feel without ever weighing the wine down.
