We're back for another year of yarn crawling, and excited for this year's spooky theme! ALL of New York City's yarn shops (listed below) have teamed up to make this year's crawl extra special. We'll have prizes, a special drink at the cafe, free tarot readings (at Cleo's only), a community weaving project (at Rory's only) and enough yarn to make your limited edition, locally screen-printed NYC yarn crawl tote bag bursting with spooky inspiration! FREE tarot readings by Priscilla at Nine of Swords on Sunday at Cleo's in Bushwick only. 11 am - 4 pm. FREE community loom project at Rory's in Ridgewood only. Try your hand at weaving on a loom (beginner friendly project) and contribute an inch or two to a collaborative tapestry that we will raffle off to raise money for the org linked below! 10% of our sales from this weekend will be donated to the Services for the Underserved. There is no fee to crawl; the event is open to everyone. You just visit each shop, sign in to get entered to win prizes, take advantage of the specials & events at each shop, and have fun! Every purchase you make during the crawl goes towards supporting locally-owned businesses. Drawings Each store will have a free-to-enter raffle drawing with special prizes from our generous sponsors (and some shops will have additional drawings, too)! To enter the shop raffles, simply sign in to each shop once you've arrived! Winners will randomly selected & contacted a few days after the crawl, so keep an eye on your inbox! Scavenger Hunt If you visit all thirteen shops you could also submit to be entered in the drawing for the yarn crawl grand prize! Each shop will have a tiny knit item hidden somewhere in the store, each with its own "code" attached. If you have trouble locating the item feel free to ask a staff member for a tip! Once you've found the code, make sure to write it down alongside the shop name. You will need the code from each shop to enter the grand prize drawing.
